Proof of Ownership and Legal Authorization. Before we perform any bypass, unlocking, or key origination services, the customer must provide accurate information and confirm legal ownership or authorized access to the property or vehicle. Our technicians require a valid government-issued photo ID and matching official property documentation, such as a vehicle registration, property deed, or utility bill. We reserve the right to refuse service if legal authorization cannot be securely verified or if working conditions are deemed unsafe.

Automotive Key Programming and Customer-Supplied Parts. We are not responsible for refunding payments if a customer-provided key, fob, or remote fails to program to their vehicle. Furthermore, Speedy Key Locksmith is not liable for failed programming attempts resulting from pre-existing issues, including malfunctioning ECUs, immobilizers, damaged wiring, low battery voltage, or dealer-locked systems that require factory authorization. Customers are responsible for the cost of locksmith and diagnostic programming services regardless of ultimate success if the failure is due to pre-existing vehicle faults.

Pennsylvania HICPA Compliance and Rescission Rights As a registered Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor, we comply with the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (HICPA). For residential contracts exceeding $500, customers generally possess the right to rescind the contract without penalty within three business days of signing. However, if you are requesting immediate emergency services (such as a residential lockout or emergency broken lock extraction), you may be required to sign an emergency waiver to bypass the rescission period so that work can commence immediately to secure your property.

Non-Destructive Entry and Liability Limitations While we specialize in Non-Destructive Entry (NDE) techniques, we will not be liable for any incidental loss or damage to property during the execution of emergency services unless such damage is caused by direct negligence. All spare parts, replacement locks, and security hardware supplied by us remain the property of Speedy Key Locksmith until payment is received in full.

Payment Terms and Non-Refundable Deposits All deposits taken for special-order security hardware or high-security automotive fobs are strictly non-refundable. Payment is due immediately upon the completion of the agreed-upon services. If additional labor time or replacement parts are required and could not have been reasonably anticipated prior to inspection, the customer agrees to cover these additional costs upon the technician’s notification.
